GETTING THERE
You can fly into the Sarasota airport, which is about 45 minutes from the house. Or you can often find lower airfares to either Tampa or Fort Myers, each about 1.3 hours away.
From Interstate 75 take exit 195 towards Venice. This exit feeds you onto Laurel Road. Bird Bay Village is a short drive from the intersection of Laurel Road and Albee Farm Road.
